Meet Dr. John Vorrasi

John S. Vorrasi, D.D.S. is a native of Rochester, NY graduating from Brighton High School. He attended Tufts University (B.S. Chemical Engineering), SUNY Buffalo for dentistry and trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He has been involved in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in multiple capacities at Christian Care Health System in Delaware and University of Rochester Medical Center. He currently serves as the Chair of the Department of oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Rochester. His major interests are outpatient anesthesia, temporomandibular joint therapies, and facial reconstruction. 

He has published prolifically, lectured nationally, and been involved in community service including mission trips to Central America. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a Board member for the New York State Society Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a residency site visitor for the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
